Baku F2 Time Schedule - 2026 F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Round 12 of the 2026 F2 championship will take place in Baku this weekend, as the Baku City Circuit plays host to the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Crucially, the entire weekend has been shifted forward one day, meaning Practice and Qualifying are on Thursday, the Sprint Race is on Friday, and the Feature Race is on Saturday. 

This is due to the Azerbaijan Day of Remembrance, which happens annually on September 27th, meaning the weekend has moved one day forward.

Also, with uncertainty surrounding rounds 13 and 14 of the F2 championship — in Qatar and Abu Dhabi — the "supersized" weekend in Baku will hold an extra feature race.

There will also be an additional qualifying session, with the two grid-setting sessions lasting 20 minutes each and being held back-to-back.

Qualifying Session 1 will decide the grid for the Sprint Race and Feature Race 1, with the shorter race having a partially reversed grid as usual.

Feature Race 2's grid will be determined by the outcome of Qualifying Session 2, with the lengths and timings the same as normal for the weekend's three races.

Qualifying Session 2 will, like Qualifying Session 1, see the pole-sitter claim two championship points. Feature Race 2 will be run to the normal points breakdown, too.

Azerbaijan is three hours ahead of British Summer Time (BST) in the UK, and two hours ahead of most of mainland Europe.
