Dan Ticktum confirmed as Formula E Gen4 Goodwood driver

Dan Ticktum has officially been tasked with driving Formula E's all-new Gen4 car at next week's Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Formula E's all-new Gen4 car is set to make its UK public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week, with Cupra Kiro driver Dan Ticktum tasked with driving the championship's fastest-ever single-seater.

Formula E will take the covers off its next-generation machinery at the famous event from 9-12 July, with the Gen4 car set to tackle the iconic 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill in front of thousands of fans.

The demonstration will mark the first opportunity for the public to witness Formula E's most advanced race car in action, ahead of its introduction in the all-electric series.

Formula E will also showcase the complete evolution of its machinery at Goodwood, with the Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4 cars all being displayed together for the first time.

The Gen4 car represents the biggest performance leap in Formula E's history. It is capable of speeds in excess of 335 km/h, can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 1.8 seconds and reach 0-200 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. It produces an impressive 600 kW of power (815 bhp).

"Goodwood is the ultimate celebration of car culture, so it’s the perfect place to show the fastest single-seater Formula E has ever built.

"The Gen4 is 50% more powerful in race mode than the current cars, handles like an absolute weapon with that permanent all-wheel drive, and it’s ready to fly up the hill. It’s going to be wild - I’m excited."
